சிலர் கூறுவர் - " அந்த வயசுல..பெருசா பொறுப்புன்னு எதுவும் இல்ல.." ;

A few points:
1. I think past is in general sweet for most of us. Also there is that இக்கறைக்கு அக்கறைப் பச்சை - many young (e.g. teens) wish they were adults because they are attracted to the (seeming) "freedom" while they feel they are shackled.
2. When we were young our "worries" were taken care off. We had protectors left and right to take care of our needs - small and big (actually I think perhaps this is one source of the selfishness that haunts us for the rest of our lives :) ? )
3. However, we did not relax because we knew that. I think there was an innate sense of "worry-free", "care-free" attitude. We took pleasure in the simplest of things when we were very young. As we grow older, our needs also grow and we cannot anymore take pleasure in "simple things".
4. Perhaps the best attitude we had when we were young is "forgetting our troubles" immediately. Baby cries because it doesnt have X. You show it Y and suddenly it is very happy not remembering again that it couldnt get X. The same thing applies to happiness - the smallest babies have no "possessiveness". We as adults usually cannot do this. The ability to "forget ups/downs", is perhaps the important ingredient in the happiness, care-free attitude we see in babies.

Don't know if that made sense or if that is what you were looking for

I am curious to know :)

As i said in my earlier post, I find, it is a nice way of sharing the views. According to me, there is no apt answer for a question like "life". We tend to dig it and feel it depends upon our belief what we had and conditioned for long years.

One more possibility is also there. You people may feel, that I am trying to give a better answer, after i know all your views. I like to give you these kind of questions, to know how you feel about it for all these years or I am just trying to excavate as much as possible replies. So that, we can have a different views and ideas for a single knot. Nothing more than that.

Infact, neenga ennoda views aa sollita nan than mela ezhutha mudiama thinaranum :P

so neenga unga missile aa kaila edunga balar :)

When we were kids we had the freedom to do anything. But when you grow up, ur every action is scrutinized and u keep giving reasons for it.
eg. If u r old & if u like to play in a swing, u r mocked at. So u have to control ur wishes and do what others expect u to do.
If we can follow what our siddhars have said (don't care about opinions of others - which is again difficult) u can lead a happy life.
We have to understand that we cannot satisfy everyone.

//வாழ்க்கை என்பதற்கு அர்த்தம் என்ன என்பதை அறிய விழையும் வயதில்,நம்மால் காண முடிகிறதா..? //

Absolutely wonderful comment!!

sowmya,
as i said before in my post, all this search for "meaning of life" is again because of the inability of human mind to deal with uncertainty. It just cooks up some kind of reason to satisfy itself and to live. All these meanings are crutches. After all, meaning of life what we GIVE to it.

The point is mind cannot accept that life is meaningless. Hope seems to be as essential as air for man to survive. So mind creates all those intricate layers of meanings, i prefer to use lies ;)

and the widespread opinion about the "sweetness and freedom" of childhood is grossly wrong i think. That said, that apparent freedom was probably due to the fact that the loads of our minds' lies were lower and more bearable/breakable then. awaiting ur smilies :)
